Our oysters are grown in the pristine waters of the Marlborough Sounds, they reflect the deep bays they grow in and have a sweet pure flavour leaving a subtle salty taste, so they taste perfect “au naturel”.
However, If you would like to add a little kick , you might like to try this Jamie Oliver recipe.
Ingredients:
- ½ thumb-sized piece peeled ginger
- 6 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 1 red chilli, finely chopped and deseeded
- a little fresh coriander
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Okiwi Bay Oysters
Method:
Finely grate the ginger and combine with the rice wine vinegar, chilli and sliced fresh coriander. Stir in the sugar until dissolved. Serve in a dish with the oysters.
